Watermarking Detection Service — Use Terms. Dated 31 July 2026.

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Services provided by this Service for this Watermarking Detection Application (The Service).

The Service and any of its output is copyright of NTT DATA Business Solutions A/S. All rights reserved.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, and unless the context otherwise requires, the terms set out below shall have the meanings ascribed to them herein.

Account means the user profile, credentials, access rights, configuration, and related information that is created or assigned to a User for access to the Service.

AI-generated content means text, images, audio, video, code, metadata, or other content that is generated in whole or in part by an artificial intelligence system.

Artificial intelligence means a machine-based system that infers from input data how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations, decisions, classifications, or other results that may influence physical or digital environments.

AI-manipulated content means content that has been materially created, modified, altered, synthesized, or transformed by an artificial intelligence system, including content that may appear to depict real persons, events, objects, places, or statements.

Company means NTT DATA Business Solutions and, where applicable, the relevant NTT DATA Business Solutions entity that provides or makes available the Service.

Content credentials means technical information, metadata, certificates, provenance records, or similar indicators that are associated with content to support transparency, authenticity, source, modification history, or detection of AI-generated or AI-manipulated content.

Cookies and similar technologies means cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, device identifiers, tracking technologies, or similar technologies that store information on, or access information from, a User’s device.

Data protection laws means the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, national implementing laws, ePrivacy or cookie rules, and any other data protection or privacy laws that are applicable to the processing of personal data in connection with the Service.

GDPR terms means the terms “personal data”, “data subject”, “processing”, “controller”, “processor”, “recipient”, “third party”, “consent”, “personal data breach”, “pseudonymization”, and “profiling”, each as defined or understood under applicable Data Protection Laws.

Service means the software solution, platform, application, interface, APIs, tools, models, documentation, and related functionality made available by the Company that enables Users to generate, apply, manage, verify, detect, review, or otherwise process Labels, Watermarks, Content Credentials, metadata, confidence indicators, classifications, and other indicators that relate to AI-generated content or AI-manipulated content.

Service output means any result, report, label, watermark, content credential, metadata, classification, confidence score, detection result, analysis, notification, recommendation, or other output generated or made available through the Service.

User means any individual who accesses or uses the Service, whether on their own behalf or on behalf of an organization.

User content means all text, documents, files, images, audio, video, prompts, instructions, queries, metadata, personal data, confidential information, and other materials that are uploaded, submitted, input, generated, transmitted, stored, or otherwise provided by or on behalf of the User through the Service.

Use of the Service

The User may use the Service only in accordance with these Terms & Conditions, applicable laws, and any instructions or documentation provided by the Company. The User is responsible for ensuring that any content that is uploaded, submitted, or otherwise processed through the Service may lawfully be used for that purpose.

Eligibility and Authority

The User must have the legal capacity and authority to accept these Terms & Conditions and to use the Service. If the User accesses the Service on behalf of the organization, the User confirms that they are authorized to bind that organization and to submit or process User Content through the Service on its behalf.

User Content

The User is responsible for all text, documents, files, images, audio, and video that are uploaded through the Service (“User Content”).

Intended Use

This Service is intended solely for the purpose of identifying and verifying whether a material, document, file, or other content provided, distributed, or made available by NTT DATA contains a watermark or other embedded ownership, authenticity, or traceability mark.

Limitation in Use

The Service may NOT be used:

  1. In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
  2. For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm individuals or entities.
  3. Any incriminating content.
  4. To impersonate or attempt to impersonate another person or entity.
  5. In a way that infringes upon the rights of others, or in any way that is obscene, discriminating, threatening, fraudulent or harmful to an individual or an entity.
  6. Upload or submit content that the User is not entitled to use, disclose, or process;
  7. Attempt to bypass, remove, obscure, or falsify labels, watermarks, metadata, content credentials, or other authenticity indicators that are generated by the Service;
  8. Interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as expressly authorized;
  9. To compromise the Service’s security features and restrictions.
  10. For any private use. To build services that compete against the Service or its infrastructure partners.

Confidentiality and Sensitive Information

The User must not submit confidential information, trade secrets, personal data, special categories of data, criminal offence data, export-controlled information, or third-party proprietary materials and is only permitted to upload materials where the origin is knowingly material generated by NTT DATA Business Solutions.

Service Outputs and No Guarantee of Accuracy

Any material conclusions or otherwise provided information by the Service is delivered “as it is” without any warranty to accuracy or validity of any results. Users may only use provided material as an indication of watermarking. For the avoidance of doubt, the User may not use provided information in any way that may impose a financial obligation or otherwise place a directly or indirectly legal obligation for either the User or NTT DATA Business Solutions.

Availability, Maintenance, and Changes to the Service

The Company may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or restrict all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product development, operational reasons, or to prevent misuse. The Company will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disruption but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability unless expressly agreed in writing.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or liability arising from the User’s reliance on labels, watermarks, detection results, confidence scores, content classifications, or compliance assessments generated by the Service.

Suspension and Termination

The Company may suspend or terminate access to the Service if the User breaches these Use Terms, creates security or legal risk, infringes third-party rights, fails to comply with applicable law, or uses the Service in a way that may harm the Company, the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, the User must stop using the Service. Provisions that are intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, confidentiality, liability, personal data, governing law, and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.

Personal Data Processing

Where the use of the Service involves the processing of personal data, such processing will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Changes to the Terms

The Company may update these Use Terms from time to time at its own discretion.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

For businesses making use of the Service the governing law is the law of the Kingdom of Denmark with the city court of Copenhagen as a venue.

For Users protected under Consumers Protection laws, those laws will apply from where the Service is utilized to the extent applicable under the law the venue is city court of Copenhagen.

Grievance Mechanism

Any concerns or failure of the Service can be addressed to the Company through the contact details made available on the Company website.
